On November 29th to December 10th, 2010, in Cancun, Mexico, will take place the 16th Summit of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (signed by 194 State Parties), also known as COP 16. Also Cancun will host the 6th edition of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol - ratified by 184 state parties (CMP6).
The Masonic Press Agency of Romania (APMR) decided to promoted in 2010 the Summit (with no commercial purpose) and to inform the Universal Masonic Family regarding the objectives, purposes of the summit, in order to express a more clear view of its vision over a more united policy on Climate Change.
H.E. the Secretary-General of APMR thinks that Freemasonry as an Order and Freemasons as Brethrens of Humanity must and will bring their contribution in all the aspects of Climate Change. "Freemasonry and Freemasons can not, must not and will not wait to see their Masonic Natural Temple - the Earth - breaking into pieces and leaving to the future generations a world in a natural chaos."
The Secretariat General of APMR hopes that COP 16 will succeed to offer to the State Parties and to humanity a new perspective for the future, a brighter one.
